Video 1: Different Situations

iSO: 100
Shutter: 50
Aperture: 1.8
Video 2: Different Situation

iSO: 1000
Shutter: 50
Aperture: 2.5

Video 3: Different Situation

iSO: 3200
Shutter: 50
Aperture: 4.0

1. The aperture value in video one is 1.8
2. The iSO i used in video 2 is 500
3. The aperture value I used in video 3 was 9.0

4. In video one we see the use of a very shallow depth of field because of the use of aperture was at 1.8 so that meant that things in the background would be a little bit out of focus but also not too focused.

In two of the video three's there were a lot of noise. You can see the grainy texture in the videos that's because the iSO is set way to high and we need to make the iSO as small as we can so that our videos don't catch a lot of noise in the picture.

I think in the last video we see that it is over exposed as we can't see the detail of Barbaras jacket and also on barbaras face there is light exposed. We have let too much light into the video.

Video Analysis: Constellation Quilt

Source: Video from Vimeo given to us from Glen

Byline: This is about a crafts woman who creates quilts that represent the Constellation and looks at her making the quilt and her thoughts.

Theme: This video's aim is to promote Emily Fischer and her latest design project which is the Constellation Quilt. It shows the audience the process of Emily creating the piece in her own studio. It is a portrait based on herself and to also promote her work.

Structured: The video is based on the journey and the making of the quilt. The video is based on designed Emily Fischer and exploring her latest design with quilts and using the constellation to create. It starts off with a wide shot of Emily in her work environment. The video contains a lot of close up shots of Emily Fischer's hands and the process of creating knots and her quilt. There are parts in the video where Emily is being interviewed and talking about the quilt work and discusses the reasoning behind the piece of craftwork. The environment is based in her studio where she creates her work. The makers focus on mainly on the piece of work than the artist itself. They look at her meaning and making of it.

Other observations:

00:00-00:48 we see a mid-shot of Emily Fisher wearing the quilt giving the audience a sense of what it's about.

00:00-00:50 in the first 50 seconds we see Emily change of scenery to her walking on the street and then cuts to Emily being on top of a building with the quilt looking at the sky. This part relates because Fisher talks about the quilt relating to the stars and milky way.

00:00-01:11 we see a series of quick shots of the quilt through the video. Looking into the different detail of the work.

00:00-01:20 there is a great use of close ups with Emily Fishers hands creating knots which almost cut on the beat of the music with the different range of shots. It draws the audience closer to see the time and detail it has taken to create this piece.
